On November 10, 2019 at 10:57 a.m. Grey Bruce Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) stopped a (grey) pick-up at West Road, north of Vault Works Road, Georgian Bluffs. An OPP officer observed the vehicle swerving on the roadway and after speaking with the driver observed an odour of alcohol on their breath. The driver was arrested for operating a motor vehicle while impaired.

Grey Bruce OPP transported the driver to the detachment for a breath test by an OPP Certified Breath Technician.

The 54 year old man from Owen Sound has been charged with the following

• Operation while impaired - alcohol, section 320.14(1)(a) of Criminal Code of Canada (CC)
• Operation while impaired - blood alcohol concentration (80 plus), section 320.14(1)(b) CC
• Driver - fail to properly wear seat belt, section 106(2) Highway Traffic of Act (HTA)
• Dirty plate, section 13(2) HTA

The accused was released on a Promise to Appear in Ontario Court of Justice, Owen Sound on November 28, 2019.
