opplogosleeveA police investigation into a fatal collision has identified the deceased.

On December 5, 2019 at 1:30 p.m., the South Bruce Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received a report of a 2 vehicle collision along Bruce County Road 10 in Elderslie Township.

Investigation revealed that a northbound car lost traction and was skidding along the roadway when it was struck by a southbound cargo van.

The driver of the northbound car, Mark Gatt, 46-years-old, of Clifford was pronounced dead at the scene.

The passenger of the northbound car, Sarah Irvine, 46-years-old, of Hanover was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver of the southbound cargo van was taken to a local hospital to have minor injuries assessed.
