oppcarOn January 30, 2020 at 4:18 p.m., the South Bruce Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received a report of a single vehicle crash along Concession 2 in Elderslie Township. Officers attended with Bruce County Paramedics and members of the Chesley Fire Department to find that a pick-up truck had left the roadway and struck a hydro pole.

Investigation revealed the pick-up was eastbound on Concession 2 when it struck a bridge abutment and a hydro pole before coming to rest in the ditch.

The driver, Kevin Warren, 41-years-old of Elderslie Township, was pronounced deceased at the scene.

OPP Technical Traffic Collision Investigators (TTCI) are assisting the South Bruce OPP with this investigation.

Concession 2 was closed between Side road 15 and Side road 20 in Elderslie Township for the safety of emergency responders. It has since reopened to traffic.
