Police located the suspect vehicle just after 8:00 a.m. at a westside residence within the city of Owen Sound and the driver involved in the collision was subsequently identified. The 36year old Owen Sound resident was charged with several offences in relation to the incident, including Dangerous Operation of a Motor Vehicle and Failure to Stop After Accident, under the Criminal Code. The driver had no licence at the time of the incident, as he was deemed to be a Suspended Driver under the Highway Traffic Act.
The man was also charged with Red Light – Fail to Stop under the Highway Traffic Act, as he was responsible for causing the early morning collision. The local resident will make his first court appearance in order to speak to these and other related charges on March 26th.

The collision happened at the intersection of 9th Street West and 2nd Avenue West in the city of Owen Sound, when a southbound vehicle travelling on 2nd Avenue West was struck by a white SUV, travelling westbound on 9th Street West. The suspect white vehicle fled the scene of the accident.
