On March 21st, 2020 shortly after 6 pm Owen Sound Police Service was advised of a motor vehicle collision at the intersection of 16th Street and 18th Avenue East in the City.

The investigation revealed that an eastbound vehicle on 16th Street East failed to stop for a red light and struck a vehicle turning westbound onto 16th Street from 18th Avenue East. A 21-year-old driver from Meaford has been charged with failing to stop for a red light.

Two parties involved in the collision were treated by Grey County EMS at the scene for minor injuries.
