Just before 8:00 a.m. on Tuesday, Owen Sound Police were dispatched to a motor vehicle collision in the 1000 block of 2nd Avenue East, Owen Sound.

The driver had been parking in front of a business, when his foot slipped off the brake and onto the gas pedal, causing the car to drive over the low curb and into a building. The impact of the car striking the building caused considerable damage, fortunately the business was closed and unoccupied at the time.

There were no injuries as a result of the incident.
