The Owen Sound Police Service responded, along with Grey County Paramedics and the Owen Sound Fire Department, to the east harbour wall in regards to a man that had fallen into the water and was in distress.
Police and emergency services arrived within minutes to find that the man was being assisted by a passing boater in the harbour. Emergency crews took over and the man was brought to shore and taken to the the Grey Bruce Health Services for medical treatment.
The Owen Sound Police want to thank not only the witnesses who called 911, but also the boating bystander who acted quickly, and without hesitation, to save a life.
