The struggling Sudbury Wolves were just what the doctor ordered for the Owen Sound Attack, who were mired in their own three-game losing funk going into Saturday night's game.
The Attack beat the Wolves 7-2, powered mostly by the Attack's specialty teams, which collected three power play goals and a short-handed one.
The Wolves have only seven wins this season and a total of 16 points.

When wins are piling up and pucks are staying out of his net, the hockey world is Owen Sound Attack goalie Michael McNiven's oyster.
The 17-year-old rookie rocketed out of the gate this season, earning 10 wins and a couple of shutouts in his first dozen starts. By the time he was named to the CHL's Top Prospects game in January, NHL scouts had taken notice, ranking McNiven as the sixth best North American goalie for this summer's NHL entry draft.
The Owen Sound Attack will welcome a former Bear to the Bayshore when they host the Niagara Ice Dogs on Wednesday, Jan. 28. Goaltender Brandon Hope will be making his only appearance in Owen Sound while wearing a visiting jersey this year, and he will be leading a resurgent Niagara squad into the game.
Wednesday's contest marks the 2nd time the Attack and the Ice Dogs will have met this year, with Niagara having won the last meeting by a score of 8-7 in overtime back in January.
Since that contest, Niagara has quickly pulled itself out of the basement of the Eastern Conference into contention for home ice in the playoffs. Their turnaround is thanks in large part to the play of New York Islanders draft pick Josh Ho-Sang who leads the team with 55 points in 38 games this year.

The Connor McDavid road show visited the Harry Lumley Bayshore Community Centre Sunday, and the rock star of the Ontario Hockey League didn't disappoint the sellout crowd.
McDavid, expected to be the number one NHL draft pick this summer, notched a goal and four assists Sunday as the Otters hammered the Owen Sound Attack 7-3.
Attack rookie goalie Michael McNiven, projected as the sixth North American goaltender in the summer's draft, picked up what was only his fourth loss in fourteen starts.
It wasn't so much the quantity of shots for Erie (34) as the quality in what turned out to be many polished, prime scoring chances.
The Owen Sound Attack return home after a three-game road trip and will play host to the Kingston Frontenacs and the Erie Otters this Saturday and Sunday, respectively.
The arrival of the Fronts and Otters in the Scenic City also means a pair of World Junior Hockey Championship gold medallists will be skating at the Bayshore this weekend.
Kingston will be led into Saturday's contest by Lawson Crouse, currently ranked as the 4th-best skater in the 2015 NHL Entry Draft while projected first overall pick Connor McDavid will power the Otters offence on Sunday.
The two forwards were also the only underage players who suited up for Canada at the recent World Juniors, with McDavid leading the tournament in scoring having posted three goals and eight assists in seven games. Crouse contributed one goal and two assists over the course of the competition.
