On Sunday July 3rd at the 2022 World Lacrosse Women's World Festival in Towon, Maryland, Team Ontario U15 and U17 squads played their first games of the tournament. The U15's were playing in the 16U division which is an age group two years older than their oldest player. They were defeated by Stars 2026 by a score of 11 - 4, then went on to defeat Coppermine 16U by a score of 12-6. the U17's, playing in the 18U division which is again an age group two years older, defeated Eyeyo NZ, 17-2.
On Monday, July 4th, the U17 Team Ontario was victorious in the 18U tournament in an exciting final defeating Akwesasne Ride 13-12 in overtime. Lyndsay Brooks (Head Coach), Taryn Lee (#26) and Laine Nissen (#32) all coach or play for the OSML U19 JEWL field lacrosse team, and reside in Owen Sound. The U15 Team Ontario, finished in 6th place in the 16U division. The team was defeated in their final playoff game by the St. James Stars 2025 (of Virginia) by a score of 8-12. Bree Wilkins (#43) plays for the OSML U15A field lacrosse team, and resides in Sauble Beach.
