The Owen Sound Attack and Guelph Storm are set to renew hostilities this weekend when the teams meet for a home and home set that kicks off on February 19.
The squads will go head to head in a pair of 7:30pm contests with the Attack venturing down Highway 6 to visit the Sleeman Centre on Friday night before returning home to the friendly confines on the Bayshore on Saturday.
Friday night's game will be the 6th of eight meetings between the Attack and Storm on the season, and mark Owen Sound's 6th game in nine days.
The Attack, who played three of those games in the midst of a 1700km, four day road trip, have improved to 25-19-7-3 on the year thanks to picking up seven of a possible eight points in their last four outings.
Highlighting Owen Sound's recent stretch of success was a come from behind victory over the Kitchener Rangers at the Bayshore on Wednesday, Feb. 17.
Guelph, on the other hand, is reeling after a 6-1 loss to the Erie Otters on Family Day dropped them to 11-36-4-2 on the season.
In the five previous matches between the Attack and Storm on the year, Owen Sound has the season series edge with a 3-1-0-1 head to head record. The last time the sides met was on Feb. 6, a game that saw Owen Sound dominate Guelph en route to a 6-2 win.
Jaden Lindo has been the Attack's most effective player against the Storm this season, picking up a team high three goals in five games against the division rival. Lindo has also added an assist in those games, while Ethan Szypula, and Petrus Palmu also have four points against Guelph this year.
Doing the most damage against the Attack for the Storm thus far has been James McEwan, who has racked up three goals and five points in the season series.
