The Attack will be looking to get on the right track on Wednesday when they host the Hamilton Bulldogs for their the Bruce Telecom Home Opener!
Hosting the Hamilton Bulldogs, the Attack will be out to rebound from a pair of road losses to Sarnia and Flint on the weekend, while also spoiling the homecoming for Bulldogs' 1st round pick Connor Roberts.
Roberts, a native of Owen Sound and a graduate of the OSMHG, will make his lone visit to the Bayshore this season when the Attack and Dogs clash in Wednesday's 7:00pm start.
And while Owen Sound has failed to put a mark in the win column yet this year, Hamilton has started the season on fire.
The Bulldogs kickstarted their year with a 7-0 thrashing of the Mississauga Steelheads on Friday, Sept. 23, before pummelling the Kingston Frontenacs by a score of 7-2 on Saturday night.
Leading the way for Hamilton early in the season is Matt Luff, who has four goals and six points in two contests. The Bulldogs are also benefiting from solid play by netminder Kaden Fulcher, who has a .970 save percentage and 1.00 goals against average in two starts.
On the other hand, the Attack have five players each with a single point through their two games, with goals coming from Matthew Struthers and Nick Suzuki.
In goal, netminder Bradley Van Schubert has been solid in his first two starts in an Owen Sound uniform, turning in a 2.52 goals against average and a .917 save percentage over 120 minutes of action.
The Attack and Bulldogs meet only two times in the regular season, and in 2015-16, Owen Sound took three out of a possible four points against Hamilton, a success rate that they will look to continue on Wednesday night.
