attack-fullThe Owen Sound Attack will look to continue their winning ways when they host the Guelph Storm on Saturday, Oct. 1st, a game presented by 101.7 The One.

Coming off of a barn-burner that was the Bruce Telecom Home Opener, the Attack are looking to ride their 7-5 win over the Hamilton Bulldogs on Wednesday night into their 7:30pm puck drop against the Storm.

The game will be Owen Sound's first divisional match up of the year, and the Attack will look to continue their 2015-16 dominance of the Storm. Over eight games between the sides last season, the Attack took 11 of a possible 16 points while piling up a 5-2-0-1 record.

Guelph is a different team this year though, and has jumped out of the gate to a quick 2-0-0 record which has them sitting in first place in the Midwest Division at this early juncture.

The Attack will be lead into Saturday's tilt by 3rd year forward Petrus Palmu, who has five points in the team's first three games, including a record-tying goal that came against the Bulldogs on Wednesday night.

Palmu tied the Canadian Hockey League record for fastest goal to start a period when he scored just four seconds into the 2nd frame against Hamilton, a game that saw the diminutive Finnish import pick up one goal and three assists.

Also powering the offence for Owen Sound through three games is Ethan Szypula, who is producing at a point per game clip, while rookie forward Nick Pryce has a goal and an assist in his first three career OHL games.

The Storm are getting their offensive production from sophomore forward Liam Stevens, who has two goals and an assist in Guelph's first two contests.

Saturday night's game will be the 2nd home game in a row for the Attack that has featured Grey-Bruce content for the visiting side. After Owen Sound Minor Hockey Graduate, Connor Roberts, made his hometown debut, Owen Sound will welcome Kincardine native Garrett McFadden back to the Bayshore. McFadden was named captain of the Storm on Wednesday, and will make his return to the rink of his youth for the first time while donning the 'C' for the Storm.
