The world's first 3-on-3 Professional Hockey League is headed to Owen Sound on Saturday, January 13th at the Harry Lumley Bayshore Community Centre for the 3HL Owen Sound Bayshore Knockout.

The 3HL TOUR is the world's first 3 on 3 Professional Hockey League showcasing Canada's elite hockey talent through a series of 3 on 3 pro hockey tournaments (3HL TOUR Events) across Southern Ontario. Outside of 3-on-3 play, the league features quick 14 minute games with innovative rules such as no icing, no off-sides, and penalty shots with chasers, to help make the game play as fast paced and exciting as possible for its fans.

3HL TOUR Events consist of eight teams of aspiring and accomplished pro hockey players representing various cities competing in a single elimination bracket style tournament for a share of a cash purse, individual player bonuses, and pride. Individual tournaments contribute to the overall season standings, culminating in the 3HL Champions Cup which will take place on April 21st at the Sleeman Centre in Guelph,ON.

The 3HL TOUR is an opportunity for elite hockey players to play professional hockey in Canada. The 3HL TOUR allows players from professional leagues (NHL, AHL, ECHL, SPHL and Europe) and young talent from Junior, CIS and NCAA. The ability to play professional hockey while remaining close to home, combined with the tournaments are played on the weekend, makes the 3HL TOUR an ideal alternative to other out of country or overseas professional hockey leagues enabling players to both play hockey and pursue other aspects of their life including family, friends, and a career outside of hockey. The 3HL Owen Sound Bayshore Knockout will include many Owen Sound Attack alumni and local professional talent including Theo Peckham, Marcus Carroll, Dan Zweep, Scott Stajcer, Jeff McDermid, and Port Elgin native Brett MacLean.

Through the 3HL Cares initiative a portion of proceeds will go to support national partner charities including March of Dimes Canada, Prostate Cancer Canada and the Ontario SPCA.

Combining the exciting open ice play of 3 on 3 hockey, with the intensity of an 8 team march madness style single elimination tournament, the 3HL TOUR will provide hockey fans with an action packed, highly entertaining, hockey event like no other.
