beer-fullThe Owen Sound Police Service have arrested and charged a 30 year old man from Shallow Lake, Ontario with the offences of Care and Control of a Motor Vehicle while Over 80mgs and Possession of Marihuana.

Just before 6:00 p.m, on Monday March 20, an alert citizen called police to report that they believed a man who had asked for a vehicle boost may have been impaired. Police responded, and as a result the man failed a road-side test and later blew more than double the legal amount of alcohol permitted while in care of a motor vehicle. Empty alcohol bottles were present in the vehicle and the man was in possession of a small amount of marihuana.

The accused has been released pending a court case and his vehicle was impounded by police.

The Owen Sound Police Service values the alertness of the community and is always thankful when they assist in keeping our city safe.
