BROCKTON – The South Bruce OPP continue to investigate a sexual assault that occurred on Friday, August 1, 2014 in the municipality of Brockton.
Just before 8:00 a.m., a female observed a man walking a golden retriever type dog westbound on Kincardine Highway in Brockton. The man followed the victim into a building where she was inappropriately touched. The victim was not injured and the suspect was last seen walking towards Wallace Street.
Police continue to seek the public's assistance in identifying the man described as follows:
- Caucasian male; 30 - 40 years old, 5'9" tall, slim build
- Short, buzz-cut black and brown hair
- Dark eyes
- Scruffy facial hair
- Wearing a black ball cap with a symbol
- Short sleeve V-neck t-shirt
- Dark coloured jeans

Burglars target Meaford Candle Factory
MEAFORD – On Friday, August 15, 2014 at approximately 6:39 a.m., Grey County OPP received a report of a break-in at the Meaford Candle Factory, located on Marshall Street East, in Meaford.
Investigation revealed that in the early hours of August 15th, two male suspects forcibly entered the building. Once inside, a safe was breached and an undisclosed amount of cash was taken.
Suspect 1 – wearing a light coloured hoodie
Suspect 2 – wearing a dark coloured hoodie, ball cap, jeans and carrying a shoulder bag with stripes.
Anyone with information which may assist, is asked to contact the OPP.
Battery and alternator stolen
CARRICK TOWNSHIP – On August 13, 2014 at 8:10 am, the South Bruce OPP received a report of a theft in the 1100 block of B line in Carrick Township. Sometime between 5:00 pm on August 11, 2014 and 7:00 am on August 13, 2014, an old tractor alternator and a 12-volt vehicle battery were taken of a mobile water pump. The value of the stolen property is estimated to be $150.
