On August 23, 2017 at approximately 9:17 a.m., Grey County Ontario Provincial Police received a report of a burned out vehicle abandoned at the intersection of Road 49 and Centre Line A in the Municipality of Grey Highlands.

Investigation revealed that the vehicle, a 2010 Ford F150XL pick-up truck, had been reported stolen from a residence in Melanchthon Township around 5:45 a.m. on August 23, 2017. Dufferin County OPP was notified.
