Grey County and regional government partners are hosting a free seminar to help business learn how to work with all levels of government. The one-time seminar, Doing Business with Government, will be held at Grey Roots Museum, 102599 Grey Road 18, Owen Sound, on Wednesday, September 20, 2017 from 9:00 a.m. to noon. For those unable to attend in person, a video of the session will be available online.
Attendees will learn about the procurement process including how to register as a supplier, how to bid on opportunities and more. The session will speak to Federal, Provincial and Grey County processes and opportunities.
There are many opportunities to work with government outside of construction. Some examples of services and products Grey County needs include: cleaning, painting, electrical, plumbing, furniture and window treatments, appliances, accessibility equipment, uniforms, linen, medical supplies, surveying, grass cutting, map/billboard design, trail maintenance, fire alarm testing, security, parking lot sweeping, hairdressing and more.
