GSCAGrey Sauble Conservation Authority (GSCA) is pleased to announce Tim Lanthier as CAO following their Board of Directors’ meeting yesterday where the decision was ratified by Board members from GSCA’s eight member municipalities.

“We, the Board of Directors, are pleased to announce that Tim Lanthier is the new CAO of the Grey Sauble Conservation Authority. We congratulate Tim on his successful candidacy. Tim provided excellent leadership as Interim General Manager for the past six months and the Board looks forward to now moving ahead with Tim and GSCA staff in the professional and collaborative manner for which GSCA is known.” Cathy Little, Chair of the Grey Sauble Conservation Authority.

A graduate of the Sir Sandford Fleming College’s School of Natural Resources with a specialization in water resources and environmental management, Mr. Lanthier has worked throughout the province for the Ministry of the Environment, various engineering and environmental consulting firms, and several conservation authorities.

Most recently Mr. Lanthier was the Lands and Habitats Coordinator and Interim General Manager for the Grey Sauble Conservation Authority. In the role of Lands and Habitats Coordinator, Mr. Lanthier was responsible for policy development and strategic management related to GSCA’s land holdings and property related capital assets. Mr. Lanthier has been working with conservation authorities for over 15-years, including work in environmental monitoring, land use planning, property management, and administration.

Mr. Lanthier is transitioning into the role of CAO at the Grey Sauble Conservation Authority effective immediately.

“I am originally from the Grey-Bruce area and have been working at Grey Sauble Conservation Authority for over a decade. I am absolutely thrilled at the opportunity to take on this new challenge and to continue to work with the amazing staff at GSCA and to collaborate with our many outstanding partners.” Tim Lanthier.

With the August 5, 2019 resignation of Sonya Skinner from the CAO position, the Authority engaged Mr. Lanthier as the Interim General Manager and established a recruitment committee to find a person with a diverse compliment of skills to fill this position on a permanent basis. We would like to thank Sonya for her years of service and dedication to the Authority.
