opp-graphic-fullDriver faces impaired driving and impersonation charges.

On January 25, 2018 at approximately 3:53 a.m., Grey County Ontario Provincial Police conducted a R.I.D.E. (Reduce Impaired Driving Everywhere) program on Garafraxa Street in the Village of Chatsworth, Township of Chatsworth.

A male operating a rental passenger vehicle was suspected of drinking alcohol. After registering a "Fail" on the approved roadside breath screening instrument, he was arrested for impaired-over 80 mg and transported to the Chatsworth OPP Detachments for further breath tests which he failed.

The driver had provided three false names to police in an effort to avoid prosecution.

A 23-year old Toronto man was charged with having a blood/alcohol content of over 80 milligrams; impersonation with intent to avoid arrest, prosecution or obstruct justice; breach of probation and two counts of breach of undertaking.

He is in custody pending a bail hearing scheduled for January 26, 2018 in Owen Sound.
