If there were hockey gods in attendance at the Owen Sound Attack's annual Pink In The Rink game Sunday afternoon, they were definitely working for the home team.

The Attack beat Windsor 5-4 in overtime in a game that should have been over with less than a minute to go in regulation. The Attack, down 4-3, pulled goaltender Jack Flinn for the extra man, and nearly lost the game when the Spitfires had a clear shot into the empty net but hit the post instead.

Seconds later, the Attack's Holden Cook netted the tying goal to send the game into overtime.

Platzer-regThe Owen Sound Attack has named veteran forward Kyle Platzer the Becker Shoes Player of the Week.

Platzer, a native of Waterloo gathered six points in three games last weekend. After being held off the scoresheet in a 3-2 overtime win on Thursday, the Edmonton Oilers prospect picked up two goals and an assist and was named the games 2nd Star in an 8-2 win over Sudbury on Friday. Platzer continued with the hot hand on Saturday, picking up another two goals and an assist, as well as being named the games 2nd Star in a 7-4 loss to the Soo Greyhounds on Saturday.

A kata is a series of pre-arranged movements following a prescribed pattern. There is an inherent rhythm and pace to the movements, a "beat" if you will. A kata can be compared to a piece of music, as simple as a lullaby or nursery rhyme, or as complex as a symphony.
