Attack-north-regThe Owen Sound Attack is set to head north for a three game road trip, taking on the North Bay Battalion, Sudbury Wolves, and Sault Ste. Marie Greyhounds in three games in three nights beginning on Thursday. The Attack will look to build on the momentum they gained thanks to a big win over the Ottawa 67's on Sunday, Oct. 5.

In Sunday's 7-2 victory, captain Zach Nastasiuk and rookie import Petrus Palmu both found the back of the net twice, while 1st year forward Jonah Gadjovich scored the 1st goal of his OHL career.

Brack-regThe Owen Sound Attack has named forward Justin Brack the Becker Shoes Player of the Week for the week ending Sunday, October 5th.

The Sophomore forward collected one assist in two games last weekend and was a strong, physical presence in both contests.

Brack, the OHL's Ryboi Tools Hardest Working Player in 2013 has two assists through the Attack's first five games.

Owen Sound Attack rookies led the charge Sunday in a 7-2 pounding of the Ottawa 67s at the Harry Lumley Bayshore Community Centre.

Finnish import Petrus Palmu scored two goals, while Jonah Gadjovich scored his first OHL goal and assist. Keenan Reynolds also notched his first OHL assist.

The veterans contributed their share too, with captain Zach Nastasiuk putting the team's first two goals up on the scoreboard. Kyle Platzer and Jeffrey Gilligan also scored, and goaltender Brandon Hope stopped 32 of 34 shots for the win. Hope also stopped a penalty shot in the second period.

attack-red-regularThe Owen Sound Attack are set for their 1st weekend homestand of the 2014-2015 OHL season and it gets underway on Saturday, Oct. 4 against the Guelph Storm at 7:30 pm and will wrap up with a Sunday matinee at 2:00 pm against the Ottawa 67's. Undefeated in regulation, the Attack is 1-0-0-2 on the year after a pair of shootout losses to the Kitchener Rangers and London Knights. Head coach Greg Ireland said his team needed to get back to a hard work ethic in a week of practice leading up to the weekend's games. Overage forward Daniel Milne has two goals and three assists for five points in the team's three games so far this year, while captain Zach Nastasiuk has a pair of goals and assists. Defenceman Alex Annechiarico will be eligible to return to the line up for Sunday's game after serving a four game suspension.
