The Owen Sound Attack organization and General Manager Dale DeGray is pleased to announce that they have signed defenseman Nick King to a standard player agreement.
King, 17 was a 10th Round Draft Pick of the Attack in the 2015 Ontario Hockey League Priority Selection and spent last season and the first part of the2016/2017 season with the Waterloo Siskins of the GOJHL.
"We're very pleased to sign Nick as this is something we've been working on for the last little while.", stated Dale DeGray. "Nick is a big, mobile defenseman, who has proved he can play effectively against older players in Jr.B. We're really happy to add him to our back end."
The 6'2, 175lb rearguard tallied 21 points in 48 games as a 16 year old in Jr. B last season and had 5 goals and 9 assists in just 14 games during the 2016/2017 campaign.
Nick will wear #10 and join the team today.
In other roster notes, the Attack have re-assigned forward Daylon Groulx to Fort Erie of the GOJHL, however; the forward is expected to rejoin the team in the future.
