The Owen Sound District Secondary School Track and Field team had a great week at the International Special Olympic competition last week in Toronto. It was great to see competitors from all across Ontario as well as New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, Newfoundland, New Jersey, the Yukon and the Cayman Islands to name a few places.
Nicholas Galbraith won a gold medal in the 100 metre run. Michaela Brown won a silver medal in the 100 metre run and a bronze in the running long jump. Anthony Pell won a gold medal in his division in shot put and a silver in running long jump. Tyson Batterman won a bronze medal in running long jump also. The OSDSS Bocce ball team also had a fun week winning two out of six of their games and finishing fourth in their division.
Thanks to all our supporters and our great coaches Mrs. Clark, Mrs. Ceasar and Mrs. Vokes.
