Leith United Church is celebrating this weekend, commemorating 150 years of the building, and the 151st anniversary of its establishment as a Church of Scotland (Auld Kirk) congregation. The beautiful pre-Confederation building has been restored thanks to the work of the Friends of Leith Church, and its church grounds contain the graves of Grey County pioneer families and Leith's famous son, artist Tom Thomson.

The Alzheimer Society of Grey-Bruce is pleased to announce that it is partnering with Connect Marketing to present a Bee Gees and Rod Stewart tribute concert in Owen Sound in November.
Over the next few weeks Connect Marketing will be telemarketing tickets for the concert, in the name of the Alzheimer Society. The concert will take place on Friday November 27, at 7:30 p.m., at the OSCVI auditorium.

Just 30 days are left to sign up for the Bayshore Race. The event is set for Sunday, August 23rd. Race Director, Greg Nicol and organizers hope to welcome more than 500 participants, 60 volunteers plus hundreds of spectators!

The Owen Sound Community Fund is pleased to offer a chance to win a framed numbered print by Canadian artist Carl Beam as a fundraiser this summer and fall.
All proceeds, along with donations and bequests to the Owen Sound Fund, are invested in a pool of funds under the umbrella of the Community Foundation Grey Bruce. The income earned from the capital of the Fund is distributed through grants to applicable not-for-profit organizations within Owen Sound.
