Alcohol was a factor.

health-unit-regThe Board of Health for the Grey Bruce Health Unit is pleased to announce the appointment of Dr. Christine Kennedy as Acting Associate Medical Officer of Health.

She will begin working with the Grey Bruce Health Unit on a part-time basis in September while continuing as Regional Community Medicine Specialist - First Nations and Inuit Health Branch (FNIHB), Ontario Region.

Dr. Kennedy has extensive experience in the practice of public health medicine including as a researcher and teacher, post-graduate clinical trainee, Senior Public Health Economist and consultant, Medical Officer of Health, as a Public Health Specialist for FNIHB - Alberta Region, and presently as the Regional Community Medicine Specialist for FNIHB - Ontario Region.

opp-graphic-regularTOWN OF SOUTH BRUCE PENINSULA – On August 19, 2014 at 6:40p.m. the Bruce Peninsula Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to an incident in the 1100 Block of King Edward Avenue, Town of South Bruce Peninsula (Sauble Beach).

Investigation revealed that a resident in the 1100 block of King Edward Avenue had received a telephone call from an unknown person. The person indicated that there was a suspicious package in the residence.
