MEAFORD – On Tuesday, July 2, 2014 at approximately 12:58, Grey County Ontario Provincial Police investigated a theft of jewelry report from a residence located on Lakeshore Rd., S., in Meaford.
The victim called police after she had noticed some jewelry missing from the master bedroom. There was no sign of forced entry to the residence. The theft occurred sometime between June 22 and July 2, 2014 The total value of the missing jewelry, listed below, was estimated at just over $10,100.

OWEN SOUND – Larry Miller, MP for Bruce-Grey-Owen Sound, on Tuesday announced $4,554,021 in federal gas-tax funding to local governments in Bruce-Grey-Owen Sound, to support local infrastructure projects.
The federal Gas Tax Fund is the largest component of the government's 'Building Canada Plan," which the government has said will provide $53-billion in funding to communities across the country over the next 10 years, the MP's office said in a news release.
July 15, 2014: Today, CIBC announced a $50,000 donation to The Hospital Campaign. The gift is designated for improvements to cancer care at the Owen Sound Regional Hospital.
Investment Advisor Mary Petsopoulos, from CIBC Wood Gundy's Bay Street (Toronto) branch travelled to Owen Sound to make the announcement. "CIBC is very pleased to announce this gift for the Hospital Campaign. We know it's going to make a difference for patients from all over Bruce and Grey", she said. QUEEN'S PARK – Bruce-Grey-Owen Sound MPP Bill Walker slammed the new Ontario Liberal budget Tuesday, calling it "reminiscent of the movie Groundhog Day."
In a news release, Walker said he is "miffed" that the Liberals' so-called Mega Infrastructure budget with "$130-billion in spending goodies has again by-passed communities in Bruce and Grey."
