osps-regThe 12th Annual Victim Services Police Luncheon was recently held in recognition of the joint efforts of Victim Services and Police Services in meeting the needs of victims in Bruce, Grey, and Perth Counties.

Owen Sound Police Service Inspector Stephen MacKinnon stated, "I gratefully accepted the certificate on behalf of the Owen Sound Police Service, but it is really [the police] who are grateful for the excellent work of Victim Services."

"Victim Services Bruce Grey Perth is an invaluable, professional, timely, and effective service. Their trained volunteers come out at any time of the day or night, in any type of weather, to not only provide emotional support to victims but also to provide information to help educate people in how to reduce their chances of becoming re-victimized. They help point people in the right direction and provide encouragement to someone who has been victimized yet may not have a support system available at the moment," said MacKinnon.
