COLLINGWOOD - Officers from the Collingwood and The Blue Mountains OPP are currently investigating a break and enter to a business in Collingwood and are asking for the public's help in solving this crime.
The break and enter took place sometime overnight from the 22nd of September at 11:00pm to the 23rd of September at 9:00am where culprit(s) forcibly gained entry into the New Orleans Pizza on First Street. The said culprit(s) made off with an undisclosed amount of cash.
The Grey Bruce Health Unit is asking all municipal candidates to incorporate healthy community principles into their 2014 election platform. Decisions by elected officials can have a significant impact the health of their residents.
"We want candidates to know that the actions they take as elected officials will affect the health, equity and sustainability of their community." said Dr. Hazel Lynn, Grey Bruce Medical Officer of Health.
BLUE MOUNTAINS - Officers from the Collingwood and The Blue Mountains OPP are continuing the investigation into a fatal motor vehicle collision which took place in The Blue Mountains early on Wednesday morning.
On the 24th of September 2014 at approximately 12:40am, officers along with The Blue Mountains Fire Department were dispatched to a single motor vehicle collision on the 10th Line just north of Grey Road 119. A passing motorist came upon a vehicle on fire in the ditch which appeared to be on its roof and called police.
Collingwood developer believes Georgian students are important to his community.
Businessman Larry Law, who has owned and operated Cranberry Golf Resort and Living Water Resort and Residences since 1992, has always said one of his favourite things about his adopted hometown of Collingwood is that it's a caring community. He too is showing he cares with a $100,000 donation to support students at the John Di Poce South Georgian Bay Campus of Georgian College.
